NAIDOC WEEK 2010 “UNSUNG HEROES – CLOSING THE GAP BY LEADING THE WAY” “….it hasn’t been hard to talk to Aborigines about Christian beliefs…..you see the Aboriginal people have always talked about spirits, the spirit in this, the spirit in that…so it was easy to talk to them about the God who was like their greater spirit and about God the Son and the Holy Spirit. You have to keep showing that somebody cares.”

“In recent times we have come to listen to a most sacred word that comes to us from God our Father. This new word is Jesus. He gently stirs our inner stillness, but he does not take away our peace.” Miriam-Rose Ungumner

Our Parish Prayer
Heavenly Father, we praise and thank you for your Goodness and all your Blessings.
As our parish prepares for the future, grant that our decisions may be the fruit of our listening to your Spirit of Wisdom and Courage.
Together, may we grow to;
See you more clearly,
Love you more dearly,
And follow You more nearly.
With thanks, we make this prayer through Christ our Lord. Amen.
Mary Mother of God, Star of the Sea, pray for us.
