VISIT OF MGL SISTERS: Five Missionary of God’s Love (MGL) Sisters will be visiting our parish from 20th November-30th November. The MGL Priests and Sisters have a special ministry to youth evangelisation. While on rest leave, they will also seek some engagement with local youth.

CAMP DIO 2008: From Friday 5th December to Monday 8th December at Aussie Bush Camp, Tea Gardens. Cost $175 (subsidy available) any student in years 6 to 12 may attend. Activities include- canoeing, abseiling, climbing, high and low rope challenges. More information at Parish Office 6554 6304

PRE-CHRISTMAS FESTIVAL, JOHN WRIGHT PARK SATURDAY 6TH DECEMBER: A number of items and guest dancers/singers will attend. Organised by Church of Christ (Pastor Ben Betz). Contact Ben if you would/could assist, or provide an item (commence 2pm until late evening).

ADVENT RETREAT: The Tenison Woods Education Centre invites you into an experience of Advent longing for God’s coming. Join us for a weekend retreat, Friday 21-23 November or extend the weekend into a six-day experience, ending 28 November, Closing Date: 14 November, 2008. SUPPORTING DISADVANTAGED YOUTH: Peter Wood of Centacare, Broken Bay Diocese, runs a program that gives disadvantaged youth a week’s holiday in a country environment. Peter has sufficient equipment (tents, mobile tables, showers) but needs a suitable isolated location to set up camp. Any parishioners that have a vacant paddock to spare at the end of January should contact Greg Byrne on 6554 6304.

CARING GROUP: Has been established in the Parish to visit the sick and homebound. Anyone needing a visit or who knows of someone who does, should contact Lou & Angela Hope on 6555 5825 or 0407 046 038.

YOUNG FAMILIES CAMP/MASS, NOV 29/30 AT SEAL ROCKS CAMPING RESERVE: Being organised by some young families. Mass at 11.30am in the Camp-site. A good follow up experience for children who have made their First Holy Communion. Cost only $8 per person. If needed, tents may be available. Details contact Sharon/Greg on 65546304. FRIENDSHIP GROUP: (50 and over) will celebrate their Christmas lunch on Tuesday 18th November 12 noon at the Bellevue Hotel Tuncurry. $10 to be paid with your booking please, with Lorraine 65547056 or Letty 65549670. New members and friends most welcome.

MUSIC GROUP MEETINGS: Next meeting will be on 10th November at Tuncurry Church from 7pm to 8pm.

SPECIAL EUCHARIST TO REMEMBER CATHRINE McAULEY: Bishop Michael Malone will preside at Sacred Heart Cathedral on 11 November 2008 at 11am to remember Catherine McAuley, foundress of the Sisters of Mercy. All are welcome.

REMEMBERANCE BOOK: November is traditionally the month when we remember our departed loved ones. You are invited to write their names in the Remembrance Books at the rear of the Church.

SECULAR FRANCISANS: Will meet this Wednesday (and all future first Wednesdays) for a cuppa at 10am prior to meeting at 10.30am in the Church hall. Visitors and Enquirers most welcome to join us. Contact Kay 6554 5553.
